Function

Thanks to transponder technology, even a single CTM achieves category 4 / PL e in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 without additional fault exclusion and meets all the requirements of EN ISO 14119. It is ideal for applications where a high performance level is required but only limited space is available.

Versatile in use

The CTM reliably secures smaller safety doors and flaps on machines and systems. Thanks to the integrated guard locking and guard lock monitoring, it can be used for both process and personal protection.
The compact design allows space-saving attachment to the safety guards. The very robust plastic housing and the high degree of protection IP 65 / IP 67 / IP 69 / IP 69K make the CTM an all-rounder for almost any industrial use.
With its smooth surfaces, rounded edges and materials that are resistant to cleaning agents, the CTM is particularly suitable for use in the food and packaging industries.

Mounting; assembly and function

The CTM consists of two components, a safety switch and a separate actuator. During mounting; assembly, the safety switch is attached to the fixed part and the actuator to the movable guards. The small dimensions (120 mm x 36 mm x 25 mm) allow particularly easy integration into any machine design.
Thanks to the innovative ball actuator, the smallest door radii from 150 mm swivel radius can be realized. An integrated latching force (25 / 50 N) effectively prevents the door from opening unintentionally when it is not locked.
When the guard is closed, the actuator inserts into the opening of the safety switch. If the transponder chip built into the actuator is detected and the guard locking is actuated, the safety outputs are switched on. Thanks to the integrated prevention of inadvertent locking position (faulty closure protection), accidental activation of the safety outputs is prevented if the actuator is not fully inserted into the guard locking opening.
