Function
Thanks to transponder technology, even a single CTS achieves category 4 / PL e in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 without additional fault exclusion and meets all the requirements of EN ISO 14119. It is ideal for applications where compact switch dimensions and a high locking force of up to 3900 N are required.
Versatile in use
The CTS reliably secures safety doors and flaps on machines and systems. It is suitable for both process and personal protection. With three different orientations and its compact design, the CTS is of flexible application. The optional accessories, such as the retrofittable escape release, allow the CTS to be adapted to any application. ← The new LED concept with RGB LEDs provides diagnostics visible from three sides with detailed status information and error messages.FlexFunction
The safety switch CTS is a FlexFunction device and therefore combines various functions in one device. The function selection is determined by the choice of actuator. The switch can therefore be configured with or without guard lock monitoring and with a high or low coding level for evaluation.Mounting and principle of operation
The CTS consists of two components, a safety switch and a separate actuator. The safety switch is mounted on the fixed part of the guard, the actuator on the movable part. ← The actuator is mounted on a floating bearing and therefore tolerates vibrations or offset mounting. It is suitable for both hinged and sliding doors; it can also be used with small door radii.System family BR
In the BR version up to 20 safety switches CTS-BR or other EUCHNER products that belong to the BR system family can be connected in series. 2 different wiring concepts are available:Series connection in the control cabinet:
Wiring takes place in the control cabinet. All information about the status of individual CTS-BR can be forwarded directly to the control system.
Series connection in the field:
For field wiring EUCHNER offers the option of using M12 plugs and Y-distributors to connect together several CTS-BR. Instead of the Y-plug connectors, it is also possible to use a passive distribution module. On this device, all safety and status signals are collected together in the field and forwarded to the control system using one cable.
